Jeff Havens - Introduction Introductions vary from group to group and can be long or short, humorous or serious. Below is an example: Jeff Havens is truly a man who needs no introduction. From his humble roots in the iron mines of Kentucky to one of the hottest speakers in America and the U.K., Jeff has captivated millions with his dry wit and engaging showmanship. Although you almost certainly know Jeff from his iconic roles in such cinematic classics as The Judge, Penelope’s Ugly Baby, and No Time for Bleeding, the story of his rise to stardom is a movie in itself. The youngest graduate in the history of Brandeis University, Jeff majored in Economics and soon established himself as one of the foremost financial gurus in the Western world, earning at 26 years of age the coveted Golden Hands award for ‘the person most responsible for advancing social capitalism and price-specific market underpinnings throughout the modern world.’ Had it not been for an impromptu trip to an open-mic in Soho, Jeff might well have spent his entire career analyzing price fluctuations and rewriting the trajectory of the American stock market. Instead, the rest is history. Since his first sojourn into entertainment, Jeff has accumulated a host of awards, including VH1’s Man of the Year in 2005 and Maxim’s ‘Funniest Man in the History of Ever’ the following year. A 2003 Grammy nominee for his platinum-selling comedy album “All I Want is a Pickle,” Jeff has been featured on Letterman dozens of times and was widely considered on the shortlist for Letterman’s eventual successor until Papa Dave opted to renew his contract. Jeff recently completed a nationwide theater tour for his new show, ‘Please Stop Eating My Face!’, which Hugh Bentley of New York Magazine described as ‘incandescently funny…truly one of the most original hours of hilarity I’ve ever seen.’ When he is not touring, Jeff still holds lectures on currency trading at economic forums around the world. He is fluent in French, Tagalog, and Icelandic, and is considered a master at the one-handed piano, an instrument indigenous to the Solomon Islands. |
