So, who is Chris Blackmore?? Well, he’s the consummate entertainer. He’s a seasoned comedian. A master magician. A quick wit. And perhaps most of important of all, he is one of those rare individuals who is easy to work with and genuinely cares about your needs and the all around success of your event.
Chris has a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts with a minor in Business Marketing. He is a performing member of the famous Hollywood Magic Castle. He is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA), demonstrating his ability to motivate and inspire at a top level.
Chris Blackmore has been performing magic and comedy since the age of 12. When a motorcycle accident left him in the hospital for 6 weeks, and a body cast for 6 months,
Chris was given a magic book and never looked back. The consummate "class clown", but with great grades, Chris began performing paid shows for birthday parties and local events when he was just 14 years old. Realizing the comedy that got him in trouble in the classroom also got him laughs and cash, Chris began pursuing the business side of his hobby.
Throughout high school and college, Chris would perform and hone his skills as an entertainer at a variety of venues. It was in college that Chris met his future wife and performing partner, Virginia Gold, an accomplished actress and model. Together they formed the illusion team of Blackmore and Gold, and set their sights on greater performances. Chris Blackmore and Gold performed in revue shows in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Lake Tahoe and Reno. They traveled the world aboard cruise ships, toured America at comedy clubs, and performed at amusement parks non stop. In 1993 their daughter was born, and 17 months later their son entered the family. It was at this time that DisneyWorld in Florida asked the magical couple to perform a 6 month contract. 5 years, and many contracts later, they finally returned home to California, but not before discovering that their future would be in corporate performances. While at Disney, they were asked to perform for Fortune 500 companies that would bring their companies to DisneyWorld for conventions and meetings. Blackmore & Gold delighted at the chance to combine business with pleasure and soon were in high demand. It was the perfect combination for a show business career and raising a family, which can be a tough combination.
Today, Chris travels the country performing corporate events, speaking on quality service techniques learned at Disney and entertaining companies of all sizes. Gold performs in the larger shows, and has a full plate raising teenagers and promoting the business. Chris has a Bachelor's Degree in Theater Arts with a minor in Business Marketing.
