Al Walker - The Challenge of Change Program

Change is one of the few certainties we have in life. Look at the changes that have occurred in just the last few years...in world politics, in the US and world economies, in the use of computers, the Internet and e-commerce. Because of the speed and quantity of change, other long-term business practices are also changing. For instance, long range planning used to be 3-5 years. Now, it’s been shortened to months, weeks and, in some case, even days. For all these reasons, and many more, it’s important that we develop a solid plan to deal with these changes.

During this presentation, Al will help participants understand:

  • How their values enable them to handle change.
  • How to lessen the negative impact of change.
  • How to quickly adapt to the changes as they occur.
  • How to minimize feelings of being overwhelmed.
  • How to establish and stay focused on priorities.

Through his use of specific examples and illustrations, Al enables participants to objectively look at their situation and develop a plan to handle the changes that occur in their lives. His focus is on practical applications of processes that help them separate the changes they can do something about from the ones they can’t.

As an individual who has gone from plowing with a mule, milking cows by hand and making his own toys to an internationally-known speaker, teacher and business consultant to companies who are creating and managing change everyday, Al has seen the changes that have occurred in the past 50 years. He has also dealt with significant, personal changes that would probably have kept him from being where he is today had he not made the right choices. In addition to his high level of content, his sense of humor enables participants to remember his message long after the program is over.

Length of presentation: 45 minute keynote up to 3-hour workshop.
